Chen Jia, KEI, was born in Beijing. She has learnt piano and received classic music education since three. As a member of Children and Young Women's Chorus of the China National Symphony, China, she performed in various countries with the group.
During University time, KEI did not choose Music as her major. Instead, she picked Finance and acquired the Bachelor degree at the University of International Business and Economics, China. Later on, she studied abroad and obtained her Master degree at the University of Hamburg, Germany.
After graduation, KEI was employed in the investment bank department of an security company. However, her passion for music remains. Since KEI was small, an exceptional feeling has been attached with Ms. Teresa Teng, especially the resemblance of her voice. Coincidentally, her online voice clip was discovered by Ms. Teresa Teng’s brother. She then joined Teresa Teng Foundation in 2012, giving up her well-paid job and re-embark her journey to music.
These years, she has performed not only in Mainland China, but also in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and South Asia. More and more people are deeply touched by her singing. In 2017, she has kick-started with her personal concert tour and performed in more than 20 cities within Mainland China.
